Sixth Form Bursary Fund

The Sixth Form Bursary Fund provides financial assistance to students who need support with the costs of learning, including transport, books, equipment, uniform, and course-related activities. All payments are based on individual need, and no blanket awards are permitted.

There are two types of bursaries available. The Vulnerable Student Bursary supports students in specific DfE-defined groups, while the Discretionary Bursary is available to students whose household income is below £30,000. Eligibility also depends on age, full-time enrolment, and meeting national residency requirements.

Students apply online and must provide appropriate evidence of income or circumstances, with all payments made directly into their own bank account. To continue receiving funding, students must maintain good attendance and punctuality, demonstrate positive behaviour, and complete work to a high standard.

Any purchases must be discussed with the Head of Sixth Form before ordering. Items may be reimbursed with valid receipts, or provided directly by the school where upfront payment is not possible.
