Studying sociology helps to build knowledge of the world around us and think more deeply about cause and effects. Topics covered include crime, globalisation, relationships, inequality, social media and social research in a time where important developments are very much happening around us. During our curriculum pupils develop their research skills alongside debating, data handling and communication skills. Studying sociology lends itself to a broad range of careers as the skills developed during the course are wide ranging. Many sociologists go into the education, legal or social care professions.
