Our Year 12 IT and Computer Science students enjoyed an inspiring and nostalgic visit to the Retro Computer Museum in Leicester today. The trip offered a hands-on journey through the history of computing, giving students the chance to explore and play on a wide range of iconic hardware, consoles, and arcade machines from across the decades.
As well as discovering how technology has evolved, students took part in an engaging coding session focused on game design. This workshop allowed them to experiment with creative ideas, build new skills, and gain insight into the development processes behind the games they enjoy today.
The visit was both educational and great fun, sparking curiosity and giving students a deeper appreciation of the past, present, and future of computing.
