Children’s Mental Health Week

This week marks Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week. The organisation uses the second week in February as a chance to signpost support to young people, raise awareness of mental health real health concerns and share steps to maintain a healthy positive attitude.

This year the theme is ‘My Voice Matters’ and in a time where reports of mental health concerns in the younger generation are concerning, there is no better message to share with our young people.

At Etone our pupils will be showing support through their lessons, with each subject sharing strategies and information about how to keep well mental health within their discipline. For example in IT pupils will be considering the use of social media and screen time, in Science the importance of sleep and in music exploring the songs that are our ‘jam’ and the impact they have on moods.
