Extra Curricular Activities
At Etone College we pride ourselves on offering a high quality and aspirational curriculum for all pupils. This includes our co-curriculum which offers a wide range of opportunities and experiences for our pupils. This co-curriculum means that education does not stop inside the classroom. We have consulted our pupils and designed an extra-curricular programme to develop their skills, talents and interests and provide them with opportunities to engage in activities that they would not necessarily experience in everyday life. Whether these opportunities are linguistic, artistic, sporting, musical ..... there really is something for everyone!
We also recognise that not every pupil is able to stay at the end of the school day. Our programme not only offers clubs from each subject area after school but also makes provision for before school and break time clubs allowing all pupils the opportunity to be involved.
We also recognise at Etone that our students come to us already having an array of talents, many of which they pursue outside of school. We actively encourage both parent and pupil voice as well as consultation with our tutors to ensure that we capture this information. The talents of our children, whether they are elite athletes or amazing musicians, are then celebrated in school through our bespoke Etone Elite badges which can be worn on blazer lapels, displays and regular updates in our bulletins and through our website. We also ensure that this information is shared actively with curriculum areas to maximise opportunities to develop the talents of our pupils still further. In addition, we also run a bespoke academic extracurricular programme - Etone Exceeding Excellence - for our High Prior Attaining Pupils, details can be found HERE
Our vision at Etone is for pupils to develop employability skills and values during their time at school to ensure that they are ready for their next steps. Whilst we actively promote these through our curriculum, our extracurricular offer also offers invaluable experiences for pupils to develop still further as an Etone learner. It provides opportunities for them to get involved in a range of activities and taking part in these takes them one step closer to being successful beyond their time at Etone College.
Please check out our extensive list of clubs by looking through the brochure below and watching the two videos which show how important the co-curriculum is to the development of your child's learning. It may be that they try something new or just spend more time doing the things that they really love. Whatever their choice, the list of opportunities is great and who knows where it will take them next.
