Remembrance at Etone

Each year our trust holds a very special event around remembrance, highlighting the importance of the individuals who have sacrificed for our freedoms.

This year for the first time the event was held at Etone. As part of the service pupils and cadets from all 10 of our Trust schools were present as the CCF paraded in front of our CEO, central team and esteemed guests.

Joining us for the third time this year both Bhim Saru (Mayor of Nuneaton) and Jodie Gosling (MP for Nuneaton) attended and were kind enough to inspect the cadets on parade. Despite standing to attention for a considerable amount of time, all cadets held themselves with the values of Etone as they paid their own respects.

For our pupils and those on the Trust they were so thrilled to have the chance to meet our guests and talk about the reasons they choose to remember.

As part of the event a number of Community Champions were in attendance to talk about recent developments with our guests and discuss how they can further be of help to the Nuneaton community.

During the event we observed a minute silence following the Last Post as delivered by the head of the Warwickshire Music Service with some poignant words from Mr Saru who shared his thanks to the young people for their support and maturity.

Thank you to all who have helped us observe today, we will remember them and will never forget.
