With Trust Sports just around the corner Friday was a celebration of excellence at Etone as we held our annual Sports Day.

Held at the Pringles Stadium the is an opportunity for our pupils to practice Etone Values within Sportsmanship, being competitive with their self-belief, whilst remaining caring and courteous.

Starting with Year 7 and 8 followed by our Year 9 and 10 our pupils were taken with military precision to Pringles, walking thier excellently and showing our community values in action. After arriving right on time the event could begin with a thunderous applause and high spirits as our new for 2025 special guest mascots made an appearance.

Whilst they do not yet have names the Centaur, Dragon, Griffin and Phoenix were extraordinarily well received as they hi-fived, bumped around and generally caused a nuisance.

As the races and events began the spirits were high with the crowds roaring for success for their House. With records broken, PB’s smashed and a hefty amount of medals we can’t wait for glory at the Trust Sports Day!

A special highlight was a Year 10 Centaur pupil who instead of celebrating the Tug of War final win with her teammates, checked on and consoled a member of the runners-up team. A true show of being supportive of ever there was.

Whilst final results will be announced shortly, it has to be said that the Mascots took place for the final race, a 100m dash to the finish line for House glory - Despite a strong start from Centaur, Phoenix was able to hammer home the win and take this years trophy! Well done Team Mascots!
