House Sport is an integral part of Etone school life. Under normal circumstances students would participate in various sports across the school year. Each time gaining points for their house. This is the time of year were teamwork, commitment, organisation and leadership comes into its own.
With COVID – 19 upon us, sport has been massively affected in and outside the classroom. Our pupils have had a skeleton extra – curricular timetable compared to what we would normally offer under normal circumstances.
Virtual House Sport is a way of continuing this tradition but following all the government guidance. Each week 2 challenges will be uploaded to our @etonepedept Twitter account. Every pupil is allowed to take part and every entry will gain 1 point for their house. Top 3 places will gain more points. An individual competition will also be running alongside this.
This encourages good mental health and takes a focus away from the hardship of this Lockdown. It’s a fun way to engage with their peers and in a safe environment.
The First 2 challenges include 1 minute kick ups and 1 minute chest pass against a wall. Whoever does the most, wins.
We can’t wait to see all your attempts.
