Year 12 Students Explore University of Warwick Access Programmes

This morning, our Year 12 students welcomed representatives from the University of Warwick for an informative assembly exploring the range of access programmes available to support their future university and career aspirations.

Students were introduced to three exciting opportunities: Warwick Scholars, Pathways to the Professions and mA*ths Online. These programmes aim to widen participation in higher education and provide valuable experiences, including university taster sessions, work experience placements, mentoring, academic support and guidance with UCAS applications.

The assembly also highlighted the potential benefits of participating, including reduced university entry requirements, financial support and opportunities to experience university life first-hand. Students were encouraged to explore the eligibility criteria and application processes, particularly for programmes supporting careers in law, engineering, banking and finance.

A huge thank you to the University of Warwick for delivering such an insightful session and helping our students recognise the opportunities available to them as they begin planning their next steps beyond Sixth Form.
