15th September marks International Day of Democracy. Pupils will be learning about the importance of democracy and their democratic rights through assembly and form time during this week. They will also be practising democracy in action by voting for their School Council representatives. Students will have lots of opportunities throughout the year to take part in democratic actions through visits from our local MP, voting for student leaders as well as contributing to school life through regular pupil voice.
